About Us

Barn 1The terrain at Keel Kreek consists primarily of hardwood creek bottoms, CRP, overgrown timber cuts and green briar thickets mingled with food plots of various plantings.  This is the perfect habitat to allow mature whitetails to reach their full potential.  These types of surroundings along with Keel Kreeks’ 25 years of agricultural experience in establishing and growing food plots give our customer an excellent chance at a trophy buck.

As you may be aware, Mississippi has one of the most liberal hunting seasons of any state in the nation.  Here at Keel Kreek you can book a hunt convenient to your schedule (Oct. 1 – January 31), instead of just a short 10 to 14 day time frame that some states allow.  Not only do you have flexibility as to the dates you can hunt at Keel Kreek, the cost of a visit here is only a fraction of what you would pay elsewhere.  Mississippi’s deer population is now fast approaching 2 million, the highest number of animals per acre in the nation.  Our human population is approximately 1,950,000, so as you can see, we now have more deer than people statewide.  Also Mississippiclaims the Buckmaster World Record whitetail scoring an incredible 321  7/8”  Boone & Crockett making it one of the largest whitetails ever harvested by a hunter.

At Keel Kreek, we achieve quality deer management by harvesting bucks of 120 Boone & Crockett or greater, as well as controlled doe harvest.  This allows a greater number of our young bucks to reach maturity.  However, children age 16 and under, who hunt at a reduced rate, may harvest any animal legal by state regulation.  We also have special accommodations and rates for disabled hunters.

While a visit to Keel Kreek is priced far below the average cost of a hunt elsewhere, our customer service is second to none.  Our promise to you is that we will strive to make your time here and the memories created truly “the hunt of a lifetime”.
